Computer Setup & Config

Troubleshooting & Repair

Slow computer, software crashes, random errors — I diagnose the real cause and fix it, not just the symptom.

Virus & Malware Removal

Full system scan and removal, plus advice on what actually works to keep you protected going forward.

Data Backup & Recovery

Set up automatic backups so you're never one bad day away from losing everything. Lost files? I can try to recover them.

Smart Home Setup

Install and configure smart devices, thermostats, cameras, and home automation. I'll set it up so it actually works reliably.

Phone & Tablet Help

Account issues, storage problems, app setup, transferring data to a new phone — phones are computers too.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I know what the job will cost before you start?

I'll diagnose first and give you an honest estimate before doing any billable work. For common jobs with flat rates, the price is fixed. For hourly work, I'll tell you my best estimate of the time it'll take — and I'll check in if anything changes that estimate significantly.

Is it safe to let you access my computer remotely?

Remote sessions use reputable screen-sharing tools where you can see everything I'm doing in real time and disconnect instantly. I'll never ask for your passwords or personal financial information.

What areas do you cover for in-person visits?

I cover Minneapolis, St. Paul, and most of the metro area. If you're not sure, just ask — I'll let you know if you're too far out or if a small travel fee applies.

What if you can't fix the problem?

I'll tell you honestly if something is beyond what I can do — hardware failure that needs manufacturer repair, for example. In that case, I'll point you in the right direction and only charge for the time actually spent diagnosing.

Do you help older adults or people who aren't very tech-savvy?

Absolutely — this is a big part of what I do. I'll explain things at whatever pace you're comfortable with, without making you feel like you should already know this stuff. Patient, plain-English help is the goal.

  • One-on-one or small group sessions
  • Flexible scheduling — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
  • Tailored to your residents' needs and comfort level
  • Pricing discussed directly — no one-size-fits-all rate
